Dr Mai Nguyen - Rheumatologist

Please note Dr. Nguyen’s medical practice will be closing on January 29, 2027.

For those who need ongoing rheumatology care, their family physician or nurse practitioner will be asked to refer patients to a new rheumatologist to take over care.

If you would like to access your medical records, please contact St. Boniface Clinic at 204-788-5753. Please note there may be a fee associated with this.

If you perform monitoring bloodwork for Dr. Nguyen, please ask your family physician or nurse practitioner to make a new requisition without Dr. Nguyen’s contact information on it, and start using this requisition after January 29, 2027. Please do not use Dr. Nguyen’s laboratory requisition after January 29, 2027 as these results will not reviewed.

If you have any pending tests ordered by Dr. Nguyen (e.g.. CT, MRI, referral to another physician) that take place after January 29, 2027, please follow up with your primary care provider for the results.

Dr. Veronique Doucet is a highly skilled and compassionate Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon based in Winnipeg, specializing in hand and microsurgery.

She completed her medical degree at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine in 2018, followed by a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Manitoba in 2023. Further refining her expertise, Dr. Doucet pursued fellowship training in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery at the University of Manitoba and Hand and Microsurgery at the prestigious Buncke Clinic in San Francisco, California.

Her fellowship experience provided advanced training in a diverse range of procedures, including:

Hand and wrist surgery

Peripheral nerve surgery

Reconstructive microsurgery and replantation

Lymphedema surgery

All forms of breast surgery and reconstruction

Body contouring surgery

Originally from Sudbury, Ontario, Dr. Doucet’s path to medicine is uniquely complemented by her engineering background. She holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Ottawa and a master’s degree in engineering from Laurentian University. This technical foundation enhances her precision and innovative approach to surgery.

As a proud francophone, Dr. Doucet is dedicated to fostering an inclusive practice and is pleased to welcome both English- and French-speaking patients.
